Flora the primordial

to each civilisation exordial

plants first felt this planet's heartbeat

witnessed humans crawl from dirt

saw them learn to walk on two feet.

Dryads who deserts to paradise convert

plants the still giants of the earth

survivors of perennial abuse

the ones who sustain every birth

raw materials for organisms to use.

Homo Sapiens resembles mistily

a human intrinsically
is herbal facsimile
the air supports him physically
sun helps to grow exponentially
earth sustains spiritually
and water sculpts befittingly.

People are mobile talking plants

pluck them off their homelands

transplant them into foreign soil

watch them slowly wither

in nostalgic pain they recoil

nomads roaming hither and thither

seeking after lost maternal scent

searching for respective petrichor

agent which cultures does ferment

being their preservative and anchor.

Happiness lives wherever home is

in native cradles tall become the trees

thankfully evolution is strenuous

hence seeds and peoples are not ingenuous

various grains require different nutrients

seeds detect and dismiss the putrients.

By feeding on foreign matter

impecunious kernels become and shatter

some grain might adapt and sprout

but only astringency can spout

ugly colourless blossom will bear

turn to tasteless twisted fruit as heir

confused progeny with no aim in sight

rootlessness eating away at their soul

like mould devouring them whole

purposeless is now their every fight.

Rootless merchants of nations

dealers get rich from cultural creations

experts at appropriation

brokers of borders weaving new narration

bankers gestating viral wars and inflation

puppeteering poor vegetables with elation

view themselves as worldly gardeners

deeming who is weed and who is not

them the pest control and pardoners.

Civilisations at the mercy of a root rot

snipping off the healthy growth

with family tree segmentation in mind

they take the forced diversity oath

a greenhouse for masses is designed

a haven for stultification

history's wrath mollification.

Crooks pitting people of their brilliance

wax and wane at will their resilience

with crop-dusting on modified fertilizer

plebeians' organs transfigure

lab rats are now none the wiser

new breed of vegiathans to configure.

Mother nature watch out for market dwellers

blow some redeeming breeze

do not ignore my pretty please

take your whip and lash out at the sellers

like Jesus cleaned the temple off retailers.
